D & R webstation and MIDIVU
« on: January 08, 2019, 08:36:24 PM »
Hello,
I've just purchased a Webstation unit and can't wait to put my hands on it!
Anyway, I would like to ask 2 questions:
 - There is a VST plug in (NoiseBUD Midivu) that can translate music level from my broadcast automation software in PPM light meter on a MIDI controller. Is there any chance I could transform the function buttons on the Webstation in a meter with that plug in and my automation software?
 - Is there any recommendation against leaving the phantom power 24/7 on even when not in use?
Thanks in advance

Also, I have just found out that the automation software I use is capable of receiving UDP messages, the same the webcast sends. Is there any chance I could have them communicate so that I could configure the Webstation function button to remotely control the automation software without keystroke translation (that has the problem of highlighted/non highlighted window)?
Thanks in advance again

The phantom power can be on for 24/7 without any problem.

The software you are talking about doesn't have a plugin for the webstation.
You can use the Virtual Keyboard mapper to use the functions of the buttons.
