| TRIPLE INPUT ON-AIR MODULE |
The AirMax triple input On-Air module combines a Mic input with two stereo line inputs. The Mic input is electronically balanced using the industry standard INA 163 low noise Mic pre-amp. The Phantom power and a low cut filter can be activated by a jumper on the PC board. There is a balanced insert for the Mic input only that can be switched in and out under software control. The Line A and B input are balanced. The line B input can be fitted with a RIAA plug-in PCB to accept signal from gramophone players. There is of course the PROGRAM and SUB assign switch (under software control as well) that routes the stereo signal to these outputs. The Aux 1 and stereo Aux-2 can be selected pre or post Fader by jumpers. The CUE/SELECT and COMM are under software control. A Peak LED is provided alongside the linear 100mm fader controlling high quality "THAT" VCA's, another high end industry standard. Start can be activated with the fader and/or Cue and/or ON switch, depending on software settings. Start can be software configured so that switching is from line A or line B. Similarly, the Cue switch is under software control. All settings are stored per individual input. All in the same module and instantly available when selecting the input. |

| HYBRID MODULE |
The AirMax HYBRID module has an on
board telephone hybrid circuit. MIX MINUS Mix-Minus circuitry allows for an unlimited number of Hybrids Alignment is only necessary during installation. The AirMax Hybrid module is a straight forward design making communication very easy. The first (internal) control is front panel accessible, with a trimmer for side tone (R-C balance) adjustment. SEND The Send knob controls the outgoing signal to the caller. This signal is derived from the PROGRAM, SUB, AUX-1, COMM or LINE in depending upon the routing of the module. The SUB and stereo Aux-1. can be selected pre or post Fader/Mute by software selection. The line input can be switched to a balanced input connector to accept an external hybrid instead of its own internal hybrid. There is a HIGH CUT and LOW CUT filter to improve intelligibility of the incoming signal. The stereo Aux. Sends are followed by a Pan control, a Cue/select switch and the Channel On switch. COMM There is also the COMM switch to allow communication on the bus between any signal that has access to it. It is also possible to activate Cue, ON and COMM via the channel remote connector. The four VCA LEDS indicate whether this module is controlled by the master VCA fader, and a peak LED is inluidend. FADER The Module has a 100mm linear K-ALPS fader controlling a high quality VCA. |

group module can be inserted in the frame when subgrouping is needed. The Group
module provides you with control over a |
| MASTER |
The master module of the AirMax is
divided in two sections. The first section houses the Left/Right Program meters
including fine adjustment trimmers to adjust the metering to personal needs. There is of course a meter output for larger external meters. It is even possible to use a PC for monitoring the output in various meter standards. There is a Program INSERT switch to insert master limiters or other processors needed. The stereo SUB master control with its Talkback switch controls the overall output of the SUB signal. ![]() The stereo Aux. masters 1 and 2 control the out- going Aux. Buss signals. An internal Talk Back function is available. The lower segment of the first section houses the SOLO IN PLACE switch that changes the solo mode of the CUE system from PFL to a Solo in Place mode. The Comm. switch connects the comm. buss to an external level controllable CUE speaker. The next control in this section is the CUE SPEAKER level control. There is a Comm. RESET to instantly disable any activated comm. switch anywhere in the console. The CUE RESET function makes a quick CUE reset just a touch of a button. A 100mm linear master fader controls a stereo VCA that completes the first master section. In case you do not want a master fader in your console, the master fader can be disabled in the software. |
| CRM/STUDIO |
The second section of the master/CRM section and the
Studio module are identical in functions. It houses from top to bottom
the |

Backside of the Airmax with all of its RJ45 connectors that can be connected to one of the below seen patch panels.
Five Patch panels to choose from
The huge
amount of in- and outputs per module could not be designed in the old fashioned
way, with a dedicated connector in the space available on the back of the frame.
Our engineers came up with a brilliant new cost reducing way of cabling, an
often ignored part of the complete installation. It reduces the costs of wiring
considerably by bringing the connectors to the source. |

HOW DOES
THIS WORK |
If you need to connect a MICROPHONE to the AirMax |
| MORE BACKPANEL CONNECTIONS |
Apart from the twelve times four RJ45 connectors on the back of the AirMax frame
that varies with the selected modules there are also the fixed in/outputs of the
AirMax such as Program outputs and so on. On the above drawing you can see what
in/outputs are available. Every frame has its own power supply and its own optional redundant power supply that can be connected while in use. There is a section with 4 spare RJ45 connectors for special options when requested. |
| USB |
A unique aspect of the AirMax is
its capability to control the internal circuitry via the USB buss. As mentioned before many functions can be controlled over this buss with special dedicated software we supply with the console. Control is possible over the all settings. |
